atios.id, Baku – The Indonesian Association for Information Technology and Open Source (ATIOS) has officially signed a Memorandum of Collaboration during the main event of the Global South NGO Platform conference, themed “Solidarity in Action: Strengthening Global South NGOs for a New and Fair World”, held in Baku, Azerbaijan (May 29, 2025).
In this significant session, ATIOS Chairman Irvannanda represented Indonesia as the country’s sole civil society organization participating in the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with a partner organization from Azerbaijan. Irvannanda, Chairman of the Association for Information Technology and Open Source (ATIOS), officially signed the Memorandum of Collaboration with the Azerbaijani organization “Qarabağın Tərəqqisi naminə” (For the Advancement of Karabakh). This memorandum aims to strengthen cross-country cooperation within the Global South, particularly in open information technology, digital empowerment, and sustainable development through community-based approaches.

This step marks part of ATIOS’s strategic efforts to expand international cooperation in the field of open source-based information technology, with a focus on digital inclusion, climate resilience, and South-South collaboration. ATIOS stands as the only representative from Indonesia participating in this platform.
Support for the Global South NGO Platform is further strengthened by the commitment of the Azerbaijani government through its State Support Agency for NGOs, which affirmed its continued provision of funding, training, and facilitation for cross-border collaborative projects. The agency emphasized the importance of the platform as a strategic instrument to enhance the role of NGOs from the Global South at the international level and to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
